Susana Valente is a Canadian/ Portuguese Recording Engineer, Video Director and Editor.

Susana was raised in Montreal, Quebec and studied music from an early age. She continued studying music in college, and then McGill University where she completed her Bachelors in Music followed by a Masters Degree in Sound Recording (Tonmeister course).

Susana moved to Vancouver, Canada shortly after her Masters Degree and got recruited by the Canadian Broadcasting Company, where she learned most of her video skills and perfected her audio skills.

She took a long sabbatical from the CBC to work in Europe where she freelancing for many orchestras and ensembles in Europe including Northern Sinfonia, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra , BBC , and numerous CD’s and live concerts.

Today, Susana works with many different Ensembles, Festivals and Music Societies including the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (video directing and score reading), Early Music Vancouver, Vivaldi Chamber Choir, Vancouver Westcoast Music Society, Verbier Music Festival in Switzerland.
